Although I am no longer an active singer/songwriter, I am so grateful for all of the people in my life that supported my music, my dreams and believed in me on a daily basis. And the biggest of them being YOU, my fans. Thank you so much for listening to my music and for allowing me to grace your radios, homes, and worlds. I've always felt that music is the “soundtrack to life” so thank you for choosing me to be in your life's soundtrack!
For those of you that just discovered me, I was born in Natick, Massachusetts but spent most of my growing up years in Seattle, Washington. I turned nine in Nairobi, Kenya where my family lived for one year. Living in Africa was a big-time life changer for me. I'll never forget it! I had a pet chamelion, went on safari, learned a little swahili, crossed the Serengetti, visited Mt. Kiliminjaro, you yet get the picture. The biggest thing that happened to me while living in Africa was that I decided that someday when I grew up I was going to be a singer. By the time I entered high school I was playing piano, saxaphone, violin, and guitar. My dad encouraged me to write my own songs so, I did! On a sidenote, my mom and dad both play guitar and my mom taught me how to fingerpick (how cool is that?) I started writing songs first on piano, then on guitar. One of the first songs I wrote, "I Never Thought You Would Come" was featured in the main love scene in a little movie called, American Pie. This placement opened many doors for me in the TV & Film world and as a result I have had a lot of success with getting my songs placed in TV Shows and Movies. I have also shared the stage with some of my favorite artists like Chris Isaak, Shawn Mullins, & Shawn Colvin. I’m gonna wrap up with a quote from one of my new songs, “Life is A Train” that I wrote here in Nashville with one of my favorite writers, Kent Agee:
”Life is a train, and it goes so fast. Life is a train. Don’t wanna let it pass. It’ll run you down if you wait too long. Life is a train you better get on, before it’s gone...”
Be Blessed!
